Paragon ID strengthens strategic partnership with Transport for London through renewed Oyster framework
Paragon ID, a global leader in identification solutions, announces that it has successfully retained its position on Transport for London’s (TfL) Oyster card framework, reinforcing a long-standing and strategic partnership with one of the world’s most prestigious transport authorities.
Paragon ID has been supporting Oyster projects for Transport for London since 2016. The current framework agreement was introduced in 2020, following a redesign and development phase led by TfL in 2019. The company has now secured its place on the new framework, which runs for up to five years, confirming TfL’s continued confidence in Paragon ID’s expertise, reliability and ability to deliver at scale for critical public transport systems.
As part of the renewed framework, Paragon ID has been awarded a contract to manufacture an initial order of Oyster cards under the new agreement. This production will start in the coming month with the first deliveries scheduled for March 2026.
The Oyster card is recognised globally as a benchmark for urban mobility, supporting millions of passenger journeys every day across London’s transport network. Retaining a place on this framework reflects Paragon ID’s proven capabilities in smart card manufacturing, as well as its consistent ability to meet the high standards required by a world-class transport authority.
It also reinforces the strategic importance of transport and smart mobility solutions within Paragon ID’s long-term growth ambitions.
